This car is based on a new architecture that is shared with the Audi A3 featuring many parts in common. The SEL trim seen here has a base price of $26,995. Under the hood is the 1.8 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that makes 170 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. The powertain offers fantastic response all across the REV range once the turbo gets going at 1600 RPM. Fuel economy is 25 MPG in the city and 36 MPG on the highway. On the inside the front seats are exceptionally comfortable. The steering wheel has nice smooth leather and a flat bottom.
