The new film stars Joaquin Phoenix, once again in the dual role of Arthur Fleck/Joker, which earned the actor the Oscar for Best Actor, alongside Lady Gaga (“A Star Is Born”), winner of the Oscar for Best Original Song. In Joker: Delirium of Two, Arthur Fleck is institutionalized in Arkham awaiting trial for his crimes as the Joker. While struggling with his dual identity, Arthur not only encounters true love, but also finds the music that has always been within him. The film also stars Oscar nominees Brendan Gleeson (“The Banshees of Inisherin”) and Catherine Keener (“Get Out,” “Capote”), alongside Zazie Beetz, reprising her role from “Joker.” Todd Phillips, Oscar-nominated for directing, producing, and writing “Joker,” directed Joker: Delirium of Two from a screenplay co-written with Oscar nominee Scott Silver, based on characters from DC Comics. The film was produced by Phillips, Oscar nominee Emma Tillinger Koskoff, and Joseph Garner, and the executive producers are Michael E. Uslan, Georgia Kacandes, Silver, Mark Friedberg, and Jason Ruder. Behind the scenes, Phillips relied on artists from his creative production team for “Joker,” including Oscar-nominated cinematographer Lawrence Sher; production designer Mark Friedberg; Oscar-nominated editor Jeff Groth; and composer Hildur Guđnadóttir, winner of the Oscar for “Joker” score. New to the production team is costume designer Arianne Phillips (“Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood,” “Don’t Worry, Honey”), an Oscar nominee. Jason Ruder is the film’s executive music producer, and the music supervisors are Randall Poster and George Drakoulias. Francine Maisler (the films “Dune,” “Rivals”) is the casting director.
