NEW Kia Niro Hybrid 2026 Review – Better Than Ever? | First Drive Welcome to my first drive and review of the NEW Kia Niro Hybrid 2026! In this video, I take an in-depth look at Kia’s updated hybrid crossover, covering the new exterior design, interior, technology, practicality and driving experience on German roads. The 2026 Kia Niro Hybrid receives a refreshed design inspired by Kia’s latest electric vehicles, a redesigned interior with improved technology, enhanced comfort and the latest safety systems. Available exclusively as a Full Hybrid in Europe, the new Niro is designed to deliver outstanding efficiency without sacrificing practicality. Under the hood, the Kia Niro Hybrid is powered by a 1.6L naturally aspirated GDI petrol engine paired with a 43 hp electric motor, producing a combined 138 hp and 265 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through a smooth 6-speed Dual-Clutch Automatic Transmission (DCT). One of the biggest highlights is the 1.3 kWh lithium-ion battery, allowing the Niro to drive in electric mode for a significant portion of city driving while also offering adjustable regenerative braking using the steering-wheel paddles. Inside, you’ll find a spacious cabin with dual panoramic displays, wireless smartphone charging, heated seats, heated steering wheel, Harman Kardon premium sound system, panoramic sunroof, digital cockpit, adaptive cruise control and the latest Kia infotainment system.
