We built the bathroom with a reclaimed pine wood frame and two MDF panels (3mm external and 6mm internal). First, we cut the pine wood beams with a circular saw to ensure they were perfectly straight and approximately 40mm high. Then, we cut the recesses to assemble the frames that form the skeleton of each of the walls and the motorhome bathroom door. Next, we covered the walls with 6mm MDF on the inside and 3mm MDF on the outside. Everything was securely bolted to the floor and steel frame of our Iveco Daily 3510 van. To waterproof the bathroom of our motorhome, we used a very durable PVC plastic we found at a lumberyard. Unfortunately, we don't have the technical specifications for this material because it was leftover (scrap) from the store. We believe they used this PVC plastic to coat some wood, similar to Formica in furniture construction. We cut this PVC plastic to the shape of each wall and floor (with an excess on each side, to form flaps) and then used PU sealant to seal and join the corners. Building the motorhome bathroom this way and with these materials was quite challenging and time-consuming, but it was an inexpensive and very durable solution.
