Those who know their stuff can eliminate the diode from the circuit and install a small DC-DC to power the SIM800l. Then you can power it with a regular 2A "5V" phone charger. Not every charger handles exactly 5 volts; 5.15 V is too high to power the SIM800l through the diode, and the modem may complain. Alternatively, install a 5 volt, 2 A DC-DC to power the STM32 and the modem.
