How To Make Latex Elf Ears - Part 1
In this video I will explain how to create a casting of your clay Elf Ear so that you can make latex elf ears. This is a very simple way to create a beautiful elf ear that will fit your or your actor's ears really nice. Some basic materials you will need is: A good plaster HYDRO CAL PLASTER or ULTRA CAL PLASTER These can be found on Amazon or in craft stores. I don't recommend Plaster of Paris because it is very weak and may break easily. ALGINATE for creating a flexible mold from your clay sculpture. You can find Alginate on Amazon or craft stores in kits like the ones used for baby hand casting. You can use other types of molding material like silicone or even latex just takes a while to dry but can be done. LIQUID LATEX (Not mask latex) if you latex is very old it will be thick like mask latex. Liquid Latex is thin like water and will look smooth like an ear. BASIC CRAFT PAIINT for coloring your latex. look for colors that will compliment your actors skin or the makeup color. Most craft stores cary a large variety of colors. All products can be purchase at most craft stores or on Amazon.
