From Mechanism to Milieu: Unifying Science and Equity in Diabetes Care | Enrique Caballero

The science of diabetes care has never been more advanced — but the populations carrying the highest burden of type 2 diabetes are often the furthest from the best treatments. Dr. Augusto Enrique Caballero, MD, ADA President of Science and Medicine, Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Co-Director of the Emory Global Diabetes Research Center, has spent his career working at the intersection of diabetes research and health equity. He joins us at the 86th American Diabetes Association Scientific Sessions in New Orleans to make the case for unifying biomedical science and social determinants in diabetes care.
