Repair of a Cyrus DAC XP Signature
Here we have a Cyrus DAC XP Signature which was reported to have low output level. On first inspection all looked functional, looking at the balanced output however, the issue was apparent. We find that there are some transistors on the balanced output that are being driven due to a reset line not 'letting go'. This turns out to be down to a regulator that is unstable. We replace all the aluminium electrolytic's with high grade 125 deg C parts and all is well again. Serial number of this unit: BE2EB1049
