JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Coordinating Minister for Law and Human Rights, Yusril Ihza Mahendra, responded to the detention of Don Ritto, while former Jampidsus Head Febrie Adriansyah has not yet been detained. Yusril emphasized that detention is the investigator's prerogative. Yusril made this statement when met in Jakarta on Sunday (July 19, 2026). According to him, detention is based on several considerations stipulated in criminal procedure law. Therefore, he believes the decision to detain or not detain is part of the investigative process.
