Adding phula to the corners to finish my Kawandi
I've loved every minute of my Kawandi adventure and learned so much along the way. Final touch is to add the phula, little folded triangles representing blossoming flowers at each corner of the quilt. The Siddi people believe the quilt is unfinished and naked without them and I have to agree they really do seem to finish them off perfectly. Thanks to Marei and Christine for all your advice :) The kawandi will be set to one side for now, to make space for some other projects, but I'll definitely come back to this wonderful method of quilting, I'm hooked! :) I hope you enjoyed this little series of videos, I put them all in a Kawandi playlist so you can them all easily. If you make Kawandi, please share some pics in the Arty Farty Annie Group on Facebook, we'd all love to see them, along with any other creative projects you'd like to show us :) / 1096560787641541
