ABOUT ALESSIO Considered to be one of the greatest guitarists in the World by many of his peers, fans, and various press, born in Genoa, Alessio Menconi began his career as a professional guitar player at the ripe old age of 16. Alessio has collaborated with many celebrated musicians such as Paolo Conte, Billy Cobham, Jeff Berlin, Jimmy Cobb, was invited to record an album with Robben Ford, Steve Lukather, Hiram Bullock, Larry Coryell and hasperformed in theatres and jazz festivals in over 40 countries recording also over 50 records. Names like John McLaughlin, Pat Martino,Robben Ford, have all spoken highly of him. Winner of various awards such as "Gran Prix duJazz" ,"Jazz Lighthouse Award" and Italy’s most prestigious “National Jazz Guitar” , In 2012 he was included as the only Italian in a compilation appended to “La Stampa” intolated “The greatest guitarists of the world” Alessio is professor of jazz guitar at “N.Paganini” conservatory in Genoa and online in website www.alessiomenconiguitarinstitute
