Escoltas de Baldemar Calderón, líder del cartel Chiapas-Guatemala, eran del Ejército de Guatemala

Using fingerprints, Mexican and Guatemalan authorities identified drug trafficker and leader of the Chiapas-Guatemala cartel, Baldemar Calderón Carrillo, alias Tío Balde, and his three bodyguards. They were shot and killed by Mexican members of the Pakal Immediate Reaction Force (FRIP) during a confrontation on June 8 on the border of La Mesilla, Huehuetenango. The deceased were identified as Baldemar Calderón Carrillo, Héctor René Pérez Gómez, César Augusto Rafael Beb Cacao, and Erick Romeo Guitz Caal, alias Ambur. Pérez, Beb, and Guitz were serving as bodyguards for the drug trafficker and were killed during the shootout. The Personnel Directorate of the National Defense Staff confirmed to Prensa Libre that the three bodyguards of the slain drug lord belonged to the Guatemalan Army.
