[HD] Chasing a New Haven FL9 across Southeastern Massachusetts 10/12/19

On October 12th, 2019, the Massachusetts Bay Railroad Enthusiasts put on quite the show in conjunction with the Mass Coastal Railroad. The excursion, dubbed the Southcoast Explorer, ran from the Middleboro/Lakeville MBTA station across rare mileage to New Bedford, Fall River, and Taunton, MA. The equipment used for this rare train was a mix of coaches. Two former Long Island Railroad multilevel cars, a former Great Northern full length dome car, and a steel-plated coach brought up the rear. For power, Mass Coastal supplied former Canadian National GP9RM #2008 on one end of the train and on the other, one of the two recently acquired New Haven FL9 locomotives #2011.
