Making a T-Shirt Quilt Part 1 - Cutting the Shirts

Making a T-shirt quilt is a fun way to give life to old shirts. A t-shirt quilt can be made from special shirts, a collection of shirts, or shirts that come together to form memories of a person, or for a specific person. Because t-shirts are made from knit fabric, they stretch. That's what makes them so easy to put on and take off, and what makes them so comfortable. But, it can make them tricky to sew with. In this video, we'll go over how to prepare shirts, what kind of interfacing to use (and why we use interfacing), what to do if you cut your interfacing too small, how to make a t-shirt quilt using shirts that have iron-on transfers, and more!
