Over the years the urban wear label thankfully got shed though, as it laid the groundwork for what streetwear would later become. But in the proto days of the genre, Phat Farm was one of the main brands to come to mind whenever people thought of rapper related clothing. Created by Russle Simmions, who today, ehhh, we'll get into that a little bit later. But at the time, Russel had made a name for himself in the music business as one of the pioneers of mainstream rap.
