Wild Camping on Branstree - A Summer Night in the Lake District

Join me for a peaceful wild camp on Branstree, one of the quieter Wainwright fells overlooking Haweswater in the Lake District. This trip was part of a charity wild camp organised by the Lake District Hiking & Wild Camping Facebook group to help raise funds for Penrith Mountain Rescue. With warm summer weather, stunning evening light and a beautiful sunrise, it promised to be an unforgettable night in the fells. Not everything went to plan, the ground turned out to be much boggier than expected, and I even managed to forget my seasoning, but those little moments are all part of the experience.
