Top 20 GAA Moments - Moment 10

This moment is from the 1984 Ulster Final. Frank Mc Guigan showed superb skill by scoring points with his fist as well as his right and left feet. I saw Frank McGuigan play in the All-Ireland minor semi-final of 1971. He appeared to be a natural athlete as far as all the skills of Gaelic Football were concerned. He made the art of fielding look simple and the high ones came softly into his grip as if magnetically drawn. It was much the same with the other skills and it surprised nobody in Tyrone that he was a member of Ardboe's senior team at the age of sixteen and the holder of three county medals before reaching his 19th birthday. He had the distinction of playing championship football in three grades for Tyrone in 1972 and playing in both minor and senior Ulster finals on the same day. He won his first Ulster senior medal in 1973 and the second on the day of days in 1984 when he kicked eleven of Tyrone's total of fifteen points --- all from play, five with each foot and one with a punch.
