FULL Service BMW 320i 325i 330i E46 2.2 Spark Plugs Coils Oil Air Fuel Cabin Filter How To DIY 3

Full Service start to finish except the Service Interval Reset which wouldn't work. I couldn't get any time in my friends workshop so had to complete the service outside on ramps (ouch). Probably the most realistic service I've recorded so far! This car is the 2.2 6 Cylinder M54B22. Most of this service will be exactly the same on the larger engines such as M54B25 and M54B30. If you are servicing the 2.5 or 3.0 then please take advice on the correct parts and capacities yourself. Sparkplugs - NGK Laser Platinum BKR6EQUP 3199 Air Filter - QFA0255 (WA6192) Oil Filter - Cabin Filter - QFC0172 (WP9002) Fuel Filter - QFF0054 (WF8377) Sump Plug - 17mm M12 (25Nm) Oil Capacity - 6.5 litres Oil Filter Housing - 36mm (25Nm) This exact engine is used in models as follows: 2000–2006 E46 320i, 320Ci 2000–2003 E39 520i 2000–2002 E36/7 Z3 2.2i 2003–2005 E85 Z4 2.2i 2003–2005 E60/E61 520i As you can probably tell some of this service wasn't so easy. 7 years since the last service which means the fuel filter could be a lot older. The Quinton Hazell Oil Filter didn't include new o rings for the housing centre. The vacuum hose coming off the fuel filter had perished at both ends and all the hoses were completely dry stuck, this made all the more difficult with 18 inch of wiggle room under the car. The larger versions with mostly the same service procedure are: M54B25 2000–2002 E36/7 Z3 2.5i 2000–2006 E46 325i, 325xi, 325Ci 2000–2004 E46/5 325ti 2000–2004 E39 525i 2003–2005 E60/E61 525i, 525xi 2003–2006 E83 X3 2.5i 2002–2005 E85 Z4 2.5i M54B30 2000–2006 E46 330i, 330xi, 330Ci 2000–2004 E39 530i 2000–2002 E36/7 Z3 3.0i 2003–2005 E60 530i 2002–2005 E85 Z4 3.0i 2003–2006 E83 X3 3.0i 2000–2006 E53 X5 3.0i 2002–2005 E65/E66 730i, 730Li 2000–2002 Wiesmann MF 30
