On January 3, 1971, the Hamilton Motor Cycle Club held a motocross meeting at Waihi Beach, on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island. The open class sees a close battle between Hugh Anderson, Alan Collison and Ross McLaren - a clash sending 4-time grand prix road racing world champion Anderson to the ground, while a separate incident results in Collison misses a bridge and ends up in a muddy creek! Morley Shirriffs takes the honours in the under 350cc class... The B Grade races are also shown.
