P0741 OBD-II: Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Performance or Stuck Off - Weak Wire Connection -FIXED

The content of this video is put forth as INFORMATION and ENTERTAINMENT purpose only. Any action you take upon the information on this website is strictly at your own risk. I able to fix my Check Engine Light's (CEL) P0741 code on my 2007 Toyota Corolla by changing the Transmission oil; however, last week after I installed a new fog lights on this car, the Check Engine Light turn on again and the code is the P0741 - What the heck!!! P0741 is back !!! I able to trace down what I did. Due to wire connection of fog light wires need to hook up to the battery terminal, I disconnect and reconnect the battery terminal. During this process, the battery terminal and area is pretty corrosive and I decided to clean it up with Baking Soda and then with hose it down with water by a garden hose. I believed the water leaks into the wire connections under/next to the battery and make those connection weak again. ( because the Check Engine Light is on and off and not always on.) I able to determine the bad one is the one on the far right because I able to disconnect and clean the one on the left but CEL still on and off (your case may be different) However, I have a tough time trying to remove the one on the far right and the connector still won't come out or move at all. I have to go to Plan B. I decide to use a pick to open up the soft rubber which is surrounded the wire and then put the electronic cleaner tube inside and spray / clean it up that way. After that, I use the same method to spray in the blower air to dry it up. After that, I connected the battery terminal and the Check Engine Light error code's of P0741 did not come back again. I hope this work for you and resolve the stupid code of P0741. Please let me know if you able to disconnect the far right connector and how did you do it. Is there a clip at the back or use WD40 or special trick to pull it up by leverage with screw driver or remove battery to make more room to work on it. Thanks for watching. please comment, subscribed and like. Please let me know if this resolve your P0741. Other possible issue/fixes for CEL's P0741. 1) Dirty Transmission oil - Changed the transmission oil. (Toyota type T-IV or Aisin Brand) 2) If CEL comes back after 2-3 times transmission oil changed, then you may have to change Transmission filter (dirty filter) and at the same time change torque converter lockup solenoid (ROSTRA 520257), it was only holding with two nuts and a wire connector. Since the transmission pan is dropped, this is the best time change the solenoid, it is about $50-60 depends on your model.
