Lullaby of Birdland by George Shearing, arr. Ray Pool

Lullaby of Birdland was written by George Shearing (1919-2011) in 1952 as a theme for Birdland, a jazz club in New York City. It has been covered by many musicians, including Sarah Vaughn, Earth Kitt, Ella Fitzgerald, and Amy Winehouse. This arrangement for solo harp, by Ray Pool, has a great feel to it and highlights the resonance of the harp. Jacqueline Pollauf is a professional harpist based in Baltimore, Maryland.
