Actress Tao Tsuchiya appeared at the public dubbing event for the animated feature film "Félicie's Pointe Shoes" (directed by Eric Summer and Eric Wallin, released August 12th) on July 10th. Tsuchiya voices the main character, Félicie, in the Japanese dubbed version of the film. The film depicts the story of a young girl who dreams of becoming a ballerina. Set in late 19th-century France, Félicie, who dreams of performing at the Paris Opera House, is invited by her childhood friend Victor to escape from an institution and arrive in Paris, her dream city. She meets Odette, a former ballerina who now works as a cleaner at the Opera House, and is filled with passion and courage as she sets out to achieve her dream stage.
