This action drama follows a lonely man with a tragic past as he fights a fierce battle to save the young girl next door who adores him. Won Bin plays the lead role, while the kidnapped girl is played by the talented child actor Kim. This masterpiece has won numerous film awards. At the press conference, Won Bin's tender concern for the young actress was striking, but he said with a wry smile, "I wasn't able to be very kind to her on set, and I thought I'd do it during promotions... but it just didn't work out." Kim responded, "Uncle Won Bin was very considerate and looked after her. He'd bring me blankets when she was cold, and food when she was hungry." The title "Ajusshi" means "uncle" in Korean.
