Ebola cases in DR Congo and Uganda surpass 600 amid response challenges
The number of Ebola cases reported in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda has risen above 600, with over 100 deaths recorded so far, according to the Africa CDC. The latest update comes as health authorities grapple with operational constraints that are hampering response efforts. While Uganda has reported no new infections in over 24 hours, the DR Congo recorded 45 new confirmed cases, with the eastern province of Ituri remaining the epicenter of the outbreak, accounting for 94 percent of all reported cases.
