TRIBUNJATIM.COM - A short video showing a farmer flying an agricultural drone over a rice field has gone viral on social media. In the circulating video, a man wearing a cream-colored hat and sunglasses appears casually suspended from a rope attached to a large drone. The drone then flies over the farmland at a height of approximately 15 meters. This unique stunt reportedly took place in the rice fields of Sembungrejo Village, Merakurak District, Tuban Regency, East Java. The man in the video is identified as Daeman (53), a resident of Bojonegoro Regency. He admitted that he and his friends were flying the drone simply for content. "Just for fun, just for content," Daeman said when interviewed by SURYAMALANG.COM, Tuesday (7/7/2026). However, Daeman explained that he has been using the drone to assist with agricultural activities in areas difficult to reach by vehicle. For example, transporting Cavendish banana seedlings, organic fertilizer, and grass. "This drone is used to transport seedlings, fertilizer, and grass because access to the land is difficult by vehicle," he added.
