Behind the scenes - herping Costa Rica 3, venomous snakes, wild bushmaster, montane pit vipers

This is the third episode of our series from Costa Rica. We tracked bushmasters with Bushmaster Conservation Project on the Caribbean coast. Later we got really lucky! We found another deadly venomous Central American bushmaster (Lachesis stenophrys) on Christmas Eve! After filming and photographing this amazing snake we moved to mountains of Costa Rica - Cerro de la Muerte. We filmed 3 more snake species there - Side-striped palm pit viper (Bothriechis lateralis), Costa Rica montane pit viper (Cerrophidion sasai) and the Black-speckled palm pit viper (Bothriechis nigroviridis).
