Me Made May Wilder Four Ways

Four versions of the Wilder Gown by Friday Pattern Company - in linen, rayon, and a striped fabric that took serious pattern matching to pull off. If you’ve been wondering what this pattern can do across different fabrics and skill levels, this is the video. I walk through each version and the specific changes I made: adding elastic to the waist seam allowance for soft shaping without a belt, shirring at the sleeve cuffs, a striped ABC linen version with deliberate colour placement and mirrored sleeves and one very practical hack involving twill tape loops that let me ride my bike to work in a floor-length gown during the pandemic. The Wilder Gown is by Friday Pattern Company. Fabrics include Merchant & Mills Garden Slate linen, Ruby Star Society rayon prints and woven fabric, and Merchant & Mills ABC linen.
