Developing a Online Soccer Game | Devlog #1

Over the past eight months, I’ve been working on a physics-based 3D online soccer game in my spare time. I felt it was finally the right time to show what I’ve built so far, so I decided to publish this devlog. In this video, I introduce some of the core systems I’ve implemented so far, especially dribbling, passing, and shooting. The game is still very much in development, but the control feel I’ve been aiming for — something as close to real soccer as possible — is slowly starting to take shape. I’d really love to hear your thoughts and feedback on what I’ve built so far. Throughout development, I’ve been rewatching real match footage and experimenting with the balance between satisfying controls and realism in order to recreate the feel of real soccer. There are still many parts I haven’t fully tackled yet, including visuals, animations, defending, and goalkeeping, but I plan to cover those gradually in future devlogs. If you’re interested in the project, please consider subscribing. I’ll continue sharing the progress of this game on this channel. ______________ 0:00 Intro 0:45 Dribbling 2:26 Passing 3:16 Shooting 4:46 Outro
