Please know that we are not yet endorsing the Kenchii shears as we have yet to test them out. While the Chris Christensen, Sensei and Kenchii shears can be quite costly, we do find that good shears can help with the grooming process. If you are NEW TO GROOMING, then it is quite fine to go with less expensive STRAIGHT and/or CURVED shears as you are less likely to injure your hands OR your dog using blades that are perhaps not as sharp. We do not recommend trying to 'save money' by buying lesser quality blenders or thinners, as poorly made blending shears will NOT cut nicely. Poorly made and dull blending shears are more likely to catch and BREAK and BEND hair, which will damage your dogs coat.
