Today, F Family Channel managed to capture a rare, up-close glimpse rarely seen by the public: the process of driving steel sheet piles to retain the soil from initial setting to complete embedment. Field Facts Captured by the F Family Drone: 🏗️ Sheetpile Driving Process: Driving a single sheetpile is no easy feat. From our observations, it takes approximately 6 minutes of constant pounding (pounding) from the time the pile driver attaches to the sheetpile until it sinks to the specified elevation. However, the longest time is spent setting and precisely adjusting the slope to ensure the retaining wall stands straight and sturdy against the weight of the road. The moment the pile driver collides with the steel, emitting smoke, is a testament to the demanding nature of the work! 🚜 Massive Heavy Equipment Fleet: This project is truly being pushed by the Depok City Public Works and Public Housing Agency! We recorded the movement of a very busy heavy equipment fleet, consisting of three green Kobelco excavators, one yellow excavator, one vibratory hammer, and one specialized piling machine. All of them are working simultaneously to level the elevation and lay the road base layer. 💧 U-Ditches & Underground Cable Networks (Ducting): This project not only widens and strengthens the road, but also implements modern infrastructure standards. The installation of precast concrete drainage (U-Ditches) is being observed to be increasing to ensure a proper water management system to prevent flooding. Most impressively, the installation of underground telecommunications cables is also being accelerated! This means that the Sawangan Kubro area will slowly be free of the sight of tangled overhead cables, in line with the modern urban planning vision of the Ministry of Public Works and the Regional Government.
