Sony Sonjaya, a suspect in the alleged corruption case in the management of the MBG program at the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), revealed this during questioning at the Attorney General's Office on Thursday (June 18, 2026). This information was conveyed through his attorney, Krisna Murti. Sony stated that the project, worth more than IDR 300 billion, includes the installation of five CCTV units and fingerprint devices at approximately 5,000 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG). The contract was reportedly signed before Sony joined BGN. Each SPPG is scheduled to receive five CCTV units integrated with a fingerprint system as part of the project. However, during verification before the contract expired on February 19, 2026, the vendor was unable to identify the installation locations for the devices, including at one of the schools requested as a sample for inspection. Based on these findings, Sony suspects that the installation of CCTV and fingerprint systems at thousands of SPPG points was never realized, despite a budget of over IDR 300 billion having been disbursed.
