This is their natural way of life. For over five decades, Grandma Kham Pan worked tirelessly for humans—pulling heavy logs in the logging industry and later carrying tourists on her back every day, well into her old age. But when elephants grow old, they deserve rest, care, and the chance to retire from a life of hardship. Grandma Kham Pan is one of the lucky ones. Today, she lives at Elephant Nature Park, surrounded by love, trees, friends, and a new elephant family. This is her update: Today, Grandma Kham Pan runs freely through the fields, plays with her herd, and enjoys the kind of life every elephant should have. She’s not a laborer anymore—she’s a joyful elder, living the peaceful life she deserves.
