KERSHNER & NO KNOT. MY CHOICE for PROFESSIONAL CLAWHAMMER BANJOS

This video presents my recommendations for choosing tailpieces for my handmade clawhammer banjos. There are significant price differences between models, but even on eBay it is possible to find very usable tailpieces. The key is to be selective and critical when choosing. So far, I have found that the Kershner-style patented by Benjamin Kershner in 1916 and No Knot-style tailpieces from 1901 are the great options for professional clawhammer banjos.
