Greatest Sets of All Time: Boundaries Crossed

Boundaries Crossed released and shook up the meta with a new card type in ACE SPEC Trainer cards and several new and viable archetypes that were incredible for their entire lifespan. Let's take a trip back to 2012 and revisit one of Black & White's greats. Reappeared as a popular evolving Munna of choice in the Gym Leader Challenge format from 2021-2022. Swoobat (BCR71/149) - Saw use in some niche mill decks when paired with Gardevoir NXD. Has reappeared as a niche mill deck in Expanded again due to the combination of Gardevoir NXD and Gardevoir ex SVI. Meloetta (BCR77/149) - Niche counter to Mewtwo EX due to attacking for Psychic Weakness. With Hypnotoxic Laser and Silver Bangle it could take a one hit KO. Liepard (BCR91/149) - Niche card in the Expanded format for its ability to use any attack, including GX attacks. With Vaporeon AOR and Misty & Lorelei Tag Team Supporter, you can infinitely reuse GX attacks in an extremely convoluted way. Aspertia City Gym (BCR127/149) - Weird bad card used in some colorless decks. I remember seeing it with Tornadus EX back in the day, but I've also seen it used in Colorless Gym Leader Challenge decks.
