🏆 World Record speedrun of Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars The Pentagon mission; Hard mode, 100% Objectives completed. 🏆 🕹️ Game: Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars 🕹️ Mission: The Pentagon 🕹️ Difficulty: Hard 🕹️ Catagory: Any% 🕹️ World Record: Yes 🕹️ Exploit / Glitch: No 🕹️ Time: 2m30s 🕹️ Timesave: 43s (~22%) Hey guys, super excited to be back with another WORLD RECORD speedrun! ⏱️ As some of you are aware, and as I posted last week, we have two contenders to my Tiberium Wars World Records. In fact, they've been taking most of them over the past month or so! The new challengers are as follows: • MasterMaul / @MasterMaulGA • Sima323 / @stefansimicic Both have some interesting, new tactics to check out, so be sure to do so! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ So, old records beaten, new challenges presented. The first is The Pentagon mission; GDI 2. This is one that I actually improved before, after it was taken last year. Both the Any% and 100% have been lost, with this - the Any%- being the first I take back. There was actually a significant time save to be taken here, so I thought I'd take this one first, before the far more difficult 100%, which has a 1-2 second time save before perfect optimization - at least, as far as I can tell. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The mission is a more refined version of my original, with the Engineer moving North faster, and a GDI Rifleman Squad at max rank following after. The fully ranked squad is the kingpin, which is tasked with subverting the standing Nod forces and entering the Northern garrisonable building from the rear, using the other buildings as cover. This allows a devastating assault to me mounted against the forces closest to the Objective buildings from a building with full health. The result is a huge blow to the Nod units, which is followed up by a pincer movement from the opposite side. A further Rifleman Squad is garrisoned to the South as the main army approches, in order to minimise casualties. After the Nod units are dealt with and the Nod Airfield is captured, it's simply a case of destrroying the Hand of Nod and Secret Shrine with our remaining units and the newly captured Vertigo Bombers. Naturally the Airfield is sold as soon as the Vertigos are clear of it. ... and that's about it! They've said that I'm not going to recover from this bout of losses.
