An extraordinary event in which the cows return from the mountain pastures parading through the streets of the town centre, to the delight of adults and children. A large "marcà" of typical products extends along the streets of the centre, the little ones will find endless fun with wooden games, pony rides and an amazing afternoon show. The bravest will have the opportunity to take flight in a hot air balloon to admire the beauty of the landscape from above. A large refreshment area will delight your palate with the specialties of the bull on the spit and the typical products of the mountain huts. Below is the program of the 20th Transhumance Festival of San Pietro in Gu, Sunday 1 October 2023, at the municipal playground in Via Mazzini. 08.30 – 18.30 “EL MARCÀ” A large exhibition of typical local and regional natural and organic products, artistic craftsmanship, ancient crafts, renewable energy, recycling and reuse, hobbies, DIY, creative activities, personal well-being, agricultural machinery and tools, farmyard animals and much more . 10.00 am “RIVA 'E VACHE” Return from the mountain pasture and arrival of the herd of the Nicolin agricultural company with a folkloristic parade along the streets of the town. An evocative parade of Ca' Dolfin agricultural machinery will pay homage to our rural tradition and the importance of agriculture in our community. Subsequently, the agricultural machines will be exhibited in the cemetery car park, in front of the Playground. 12.30pm – 2.30pm FOOD STAND A tasty and rich lunch awaits you at the food stand organized by the Proloco Guadense, with bull specialties on the spit. The Alpini Group will instead propose a selection of typical products. 2.00 pm AWARDS Greeting from the Administration and presentation of awards to the farmers of the town who spent the summer in the mountain hut.
