Living Devotion — Praying with the Heart and Living in the Immaculate Heart of Mary On the 22nd day of the path of consecration (3rd of the week of knowledge of Mary), Brother Luiz Maria teaches that true devotion to the Blessed Virgin is interior, born of the soul and not just of the lips. Our Lady, in her apparitions as Queen of Peace in Medjugorje, asked: “Pray with your heart.” It is not about repeating formulas, but about immersing oneself in love. Saint Louis de Montfort denounces the seven types of false devotees — critical, scrupulous, external, presumptuous, inconstant, hypocritical, and self-interested — and invites us to perfect consecration: a profound act, done with sincerity and real friendship with God. Philippians 2:5 — “Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus.” Ecclesiasticus 18:23 — “Pray calmly: He is in Heaven, and you are on earth.” 1 Thessalonians 5:17 — “Pray without ceasing.” John 19:25–27 — “Behold your mother.” 🙏🏻 Today's Practice: Praying with your heart: During the Rosary, avoid distractions and repeat inwardly: "Lord, I am before You." Put your heart into each Hail Mary. Intentional focus: Offer today a slower, more conscious prayer—at least one third—without haste, as a dialogue with God and Mary. Interior consecration: Renew your commitment to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, offering your thoughts, affections, and intentions. First Five Saturdays: Decide to practice this devotion requested at Fatima—confession, reparative communion, 15 minutes of meditation, and recitation of the Rosary. Persevering prayer: If you already pray the Rosary, do so today with all your soul; if not, begin with one third. Step of growth: To pray is to open your heart to be transformed. More than asking, it is to let God act. Mary, who kept everything in her heart, teaches that true prayer is born of love and leads to obedience. Daily prayer: “Immaculate Heart of Mary, teach me to pray with my heart and to live in your presence with love, purity, and perseverance.
