We often worry about life's difficulties, problems, or uncertainties, but we forget what's most important: staying close to God. Distancing ourselves from God doesn't usually happen overnight. Sometimes it happens little by little, when we stop praying, when we neglect the Eucharist, when we no longer seek His will, or when we allow worldly worries to take the place that only He should have in our hearts. However, God never stops loving us. Even when we stray, He continues to wait for us with open arms, like the father who awaited the return of his prodigal son. His mercy is greater than our mistakes, and His love is stronger than our falls. When we live close to God, we find peace in the midst of storms, strength in trials, and hope in difficult times. His presence illuminates our path and reminds us that we are never alone. Today is a good day to ask ourselves: How close am I to God? If you feel you have drifted away, don't be afraid to return. He waits for you, He loves you, and He wants to walk with you every day.
