2. O CHURCH OF CHRIST THE LORD 1. By God thou hast been chosen, O church of Christ the Lord. Thy holy Master leads thee to thy divine reward. Prepare thyself, make ready, for soon He shall appear; The glory you’re waiting, to you is very near. 2. With heavenly adorning of peace and righteousness, Await thy Master’s coming with love and holiness. Beloved of the Saviour, He shed His blood for thee; To give you life eternal, He suffered bitterly. 3. O church of Christ the Saviour , you’re precious in His sight; To Him be consecrated and always walk in light. Soon His eternal kingdom, you’ll enter gloriously; The blessed face of Jesus, in heaven thou shalt see.
