Dropshot walleyes when you NEED to get bit

Dropshots aren't just for bass 👀 they're a simple and efficient way to keep your bait right in front of a walleye's face and know it's fishing in the strike zone the whole time. 🎯 They work all year round, but I don't think there's a better way to catch finicky, late-summer walleyes (on outside weed-edges and the tops of hard-bottom humps) that may be turning down other presentations.... Bonus points: If you’re fishing with your kids or someone who’s maybe not as experienced, this is the PERFECT way to help them catch a walleye without trolling. Few reasons being 1) the fish will basically set the hook on itself if they just start reeling, 2) don’t need to be a master at jigging cadences, and 3) the bait is always near bottom, but up off of it and in the strike zone. 0:00 - Intro 1:16 - Locations 5:09 - Rod setup 5:44 - Setting the hook 6:32 - Line 6:59 - Hook 7:53 - Palomar knot 8:27 - Plastics 10:51 - Weights 12:01 - Why nightcrawlers Drop a comment below and let me know what you think. 👊 Thx SO much for watching! I went with Amped Outdoors' 36V 100Ah trolling motor lithium battery system (which is two 36V 50Ah LiFePO4 batteries in parallel). I was able to shave off roughly 140 pounds 😳 by running those 2 lithiums vs 3 lead batteries, and of course get some amazing run times: https://ampedoutdoors.com/products/36... Which also freed up an extra battery slot in my boat, so I was able to plug in this 100Ah beast (only weighs about 24-ish lbs) to exclusively run all of my electronics – fer dayzzzz 🔋 – instead of running them off of my cranking battery: https://bit.ly/3QKANut Note: The Scheels links above are affiliate links, meaning if you go through them to make a purchase we might earn a commission...at no cost to you.
