I Hiked to Arizona's Most Famous Swimming Canyon | Bell Trail

Spring has arrived in Arizona, and today I’m hiking Bell Trail through the beautiful Wet Beaver Wilderness to visit one of the state’s most famous hidden swimming spots — “The Crack.” This hike completely transforms in the spring. Wet Beaver Creek is flowing, the desert is turning green, and the red rock canyon walls surrounding the water create one of the most unique hiking experiences in Arizona. Bell Trail is one of the most popular hikes near Sedona for good reason. The trail follows Wet Beaver Creek through a lush desert canyon before reaching “The Crack,” a narrow sandstone gorge carved into the red rock where swimmers and hikers gather during the warmer months.
