{Deadrun} Post-Duty Joyride | Go-Ahead London Volvo B5LH Wright Gemini 2 ft. Top Speeds of 51mph

Making a long awaited feature on the channel, for some, is a Euro 5 Volvo B5LH Gemini 2! These use the slightly different Volvo D5F engine, short of 25 horsepower compared to the Volvo D5K engine used commonly in the newer Gemini 3s. A noticeable difference is obviously the pitch of the engine while its running. Here after finishing in service this bus is taken down the A3, given chance to hit it's top speed of 51mph! Being based at Putney these buses never really get to clear their cobwebs so I am glad to get the opportunity to experience these buses at their highest performance. Not only that, the fact they have a higher speed limiter alongside Arriva, but opposed to Metroline where theirs are limited to 39mph, and some Euro 6 batches limited to 43mph. In my honest opinion, like any B5LH, this isn't my go-to bus, I'm obviously more keen on a diesel bus any day, but these definitely do have a bit of character in them. Sound-wise I still do prefer the Euro 6 Volvo D5Ks.
