Citing the South Jakarta District Court's Case Tracking Information System (SIPP), Roy Suryo's lawsuit was filed on Monday, June 22, 2026. The defendants are the Jakarta Metropolitan Police's Criminal Investigation Directorate Investigation Team and the Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office. Previously, Roy Suryo's attorney, Refly Harun, stated that a pretrial motion was an option in facing the second phase of the transfer of Roy Suryo's diploma case. According to Refly, his office had guaranteed that they would hand Roy and Tifa over to the South Jakarta District Attorney's Office, thus eliminating the need for arrest. However, the police arrested Roy and Tifa anyway. Meanwhile, in Solo, Jokowi admitted that he accepted the South Jakarta District Attorney's Office's decision to suspend Roy and Tifa's detention. Jokowi even stated that he would continue to follow the legal process in the diploma case all the way to court. Next Monday, according to Roy Suryo's attorney, the pretrial hearing for his arrest will begin.
