Gerstheim, modèle d'engagement pour l'alsacien et l'allemand à l'école

In 2018, the ABCM class in Gerstheim was forced to close its doors. But that was without counting on the tenacity of the parents and the mayor of the town, Laurence Muller-Bronn. This elected official, of Breton origin, does not speak Alsatian, but has recognized the importance of the regional language for the children of this border town. She can now proudly welcome an immersive ABCM school (where students learn Alsatian and German), a bilingual section (13 hours of German, 13 hours of French) in primary school, and, since the start of the school year, in middle school.
