Zhang Yimou - the director behind The Great Wall. This is a video essay/introduction of Chinese director Zhang Yimou: From Red Sorghum, Raise of Red Lantern, Hero, To Live, Coming Home, to The Great Wall. We are covering his major film pieces and styles such as the usage of color and choreography. Even though his fame has been challenged because the stylistic changes, he still remain as one of the most distinguished director from mainland China.
