How to map groundwater potential zones with GIS and remote sensing (Part-2)

Groundwater potential zone mapping using GIS and remote sensing Part 1:    • Groundwater potential zone mapping Using G...   In the first part of this tutorial have shown and explained how to perform thematic layers that influence ground water potential zones. I have prepared factors such as drainage density, rainfall , land use and land cover, geology map, soil category map and slope map. Also have shown how to perform reclassification for weighted overlay techniques. In this part, I have shown you can perform adding these factors in weighted overlay and also how to do pairwise comparison matrix automatically in a Excel sheet. I have used An AHP automatic excel sheet where you just have to put the criteria and it will automatically generate weighted score and then just input these in the ArcMap. You don’t have to calculate manually weighted score for each criterion. Remember that the Projection system and cell size for all of your maps need to be same.
