I thought I had this shoot figured out. After spending weeks building a new photography studio for Knyne Dog Portraits, I headed out for what I hoped would be a straightforward mobile dog portrait session. Instead, the shoot didn't go to plan. The experience forced me to rethink something important: this business isn't about creating the perfect portfolio image or fitting every dog into one style. It's about understanding the dog, their personality, and the relationship they have with the people who love them. A few days later I returned with a different approach, and the results completely changed how I think about dog photography.
