Filming of Corinne Morris's career relaunch album 'Macedonian Sessions'. Corinne Morris, solo cello, Macedonian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Philip Hesketh conducting. Recorded and filmed in July 2013. Gabriel Fauré originally wrote the Elégie in C minor op 24 for cello and piano in 1883 and later orchestrated it. The piece opens with a slow, stately theme then introduces a contrasted pastoral melody, and develops into a turbulent fast section, before reaching a soothing yet sad ending.
