Presence Matters 📍 Japan and the Philippines (Oct. 1-14, 2022) The #MarineCorps conducted two concurrent large-scale bilateral exercises with key allies across the first island chain, from northern Japan through the Philippines. More than 5,500 personnel participated in Resolute Dragon 22 in Hokkaido, Japan and in KAMANDAG 6 across Luzon, Batanes, and Palawan in the Philippines. Members of the U.S. Marine Corps, the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, the Philippine Marine Corps, and the Republic of Korea Marine Corps took part in KAMANDAG and Resolute Dragon, strengthening interoperability, readiness, and joint capabilities. 📷 (U.S. Marine Corps video edited by Staff Sgt.
