What Makes A 440 Six Pack Engine Special?
On today's episode, we take a look at a legendary Mopar performance engine from the muscle car era. The 440 Six Pack (or Six Barrel, if found under the hood of a Plymouth, like the 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner seen here) has a reputation for being a little sluggish off the starting line, and then coming alive once those outboard carbs finally open. But it seems there is a bit of a misunderstanding as to what parts were actually special to the Six Pack engine, given that the legendary "Six Pack connecting rods" were also found in the regular high performance 440 starting in 1970. So let's dig in and see if we can correct the record on what really makes the Six Pack engine special. @rocketresto
